Show Synopsis

Expanding on their Saturday Night Live characters, John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd star as Jake and Elwood Blues, two white boys with black soul. Sporting cool shades and look-alike suits, Jake and Elwood are dispatched on a "mission from God" by their former teacher, Sister Mary Stigmata (Kathleen Freeman). Said mission is to raise $5000 to save an orphanage. The Ultimate Adult Comedy

That is how my brother in-law explained it to me, before I ever saw "The Blues Brothers," that first time back in 1980. He was right; and it became a cult classic because it remains offbeat and funny today, 35 years later. We all know the plot. Many times have I sat in the front seat of the car and repeated the famous quote, (or had it said to me from a fellow fan,) "It's a hundred and six miles to (Where-ever,) we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses." It's one to enjoy again & again.
