A handful of fighting men must defy the odds to save their own lives and thousands of others in this drama set during World War II. In late 1944, a band of nearly a hundred American soldiers are making their way through a wooded region of Belgium when they are ambushed by German forces in a battle that became known as "the Malmady Massacre." The first in the disconnected "Saints and Soldiers" series, now that I have seen this one, I see why they invested in another two.

This story is different and interesting. The characters aren't your typical cutouts and the story is unusual as well.

I say go for it. It's worth it just for a medic whose more of a fighter than the rest of his squad, sometimes.
