True science

True story about the effect of Sputnik on boys in a coal mining town of West Virginia. A good progression of scientific steps to successful accomplishment of a goal.

A Great Movie

This is a great movie....good for kids as well as adults. It's based on the true life story of Homer Hickem. Jake Gyllenhaal does a great job of playing Homer. You get a true sense of how much Homer wanted to make something of himself. He worked hard to achieve that goal.I have also read the book it was based on," The Rocket Boys".. a very good read! While visiting family in Tenn. we had the opportunity to go to the little town the movie was filmed in. I would highly recommend this movie to everyone!!!!
