This biography of Ludwig von Beethoven (played here by Gary Oldman) builds its narrative around an actual letter found after his death, addressed only to the composer's "immortal beloved." Superb - Beethoven

This DVD arrived at mach speed and in perfect condition. It is an achingly beautiful movie.
I purchased it to augment a Lifelong Learning class and it has been checked out from our book table everh week.

Great Performances

The cast of "Immortal Beloved" give wonderful
protrails of the character each represents.
A convincing screenplay of Beethoven's
immortal beloved although in reality her identity still remains a mystery.

A Mesmerizing Performance

Beethoven's dark and hidden passions are revealed in this movie by a mesmerizing performance by Gary Oldman and Isabella Rossellini. Supporting actor Jeroen Krabbéis a brilliant actor, no matter what role he has. The only drawback is the lack of his music scores.
