Delightful & positive

This film begins rather slowly, but has some great characters. The farm is a haunting look at life in days gone by. The heroin is so very positive about everything she encounters, except the original reason for her coming to the farm. An enjoyable lark with some fine shots of the farm and its surrounding areas.

a classic!

This movie is one of the funniest things I've ever come across. It is loaded with the dry British wit that takes no prisoners. It is also one of those rare adaptations of a book to film that actually works. I cannot recommed this movie highly enough!
