In this spoof of McCarthy-era paranoia and 1950s wholesomeness, the characters and plot are drawn from the popular Parker Brothers board game of the same name. Not a great movie. Ensemble casts rarely are.This does rise above the rest though. The choreography of getting 8 people through a doorway all at once is wonderful. Some of the gags do get better as the film progresses. It moves from dog poo smell "Who done it?" to excellent spittakes and spasm tosses of drinks. I think Mz. Warren gets splashed several times. It's not Agatha Christie's "And Then There Were None" but the effort is enriched by the inclusion of several different endings based on the same evidence. Was it based on a Board game? Oh I didn't know that but still enjoyed the flm.
